The Warrior Connection Announces Release of 2020 Annual Report

Updated: Apr 5

Brattleboro, VT, October 20, 2021 -- The Warrior Connection (TWC) today released its 2020 Annual Report highlighting its efforts to provide holistic healing retreats to Veterans and military families amid the COVID pandemic and challenges that have required rapid adjustments. It features a reflection on 2020, the lives that our donors were able to impact, and emphasizes the work of the TWC’s Board of Directors in developing a strong leadership base.

“In early 2020,” said Board Chair Peter May in his introduction to the Annual Report 2020, “recognizing the imperative to grow the scale and reach of TWC programming to serve a much larger universe of veterans and families, the TWC Board, led by the Board Chair, TWC’s Executive Director, Aaron Phillips, undertook a remarkable Board development effort. We launched a nationwide search for individuals with the time, talents, and treasure to serve TWC.”

TWC reached 156 veterans and military spouses during 2020 and continued to press on through virtual group sessions via video conferencing. TWC introduced VetConnect, virtual meet-ups, into their programming and will fold it into their regular continuum of care as in-person retreats resume.

The Annual Report 2020 covers the work of the TWC’s Executive Board, Board Directors, Board Advisors, and staff. It also contains financial statements for the fiscal year 2020. It describes the impact of support from TWC’s generous supporters, The Warrior Legion, Silver Star Givers, and community partners.
