Mark W. Terry, LTC US Army, SF (Retired)
After 21 years of distinguished military service, Mark is now dedicated to supporting our servicemen and women heal military service-related trauma and loss through The Warrior Connection.
Mark graduated from The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio as a Distinguished Military Graduate in 1979. He held numerous command and staff positions in the U.S. Army as an Infantry and Special Forces Officer during his 21-year career.
Mark's command and staff assignments included tours in Panama, Germany, Turkey (Operation Desert Storm and Provide Comfort), Haiti (as part of the UN Mission to Haiti) and Belgium and, operational deployments to Central and South America, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe. His final assignment was as the Psychological Operations Department Chief at the senior military headquarters of NATO where he was responsible for policy and doctrine development, force development, and psychological operations and information operations (military marketing) in support of NATO operations in Bosnia, Kosovo and support of NATO’s air campaign in Yugoslavia.
Since retiring from military service in 2001 Mark has served as a defense contractor, planning and conducting civil/military emergency management exercises in support of the U.S. European and African Commands for the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
Away from work Mark enjoys his life in rural New Hampshire with his wife, of 37 years, Kathy. They take great pleasure in their daily walks on their wooded property and spending quality time with their granddaughters.
