Frank Wetherby, 1st Seargent, US Army, (Retired)
Frank is one of four veterans who attended the very first TWC retreat held in 2010, their tribe appropriately named "The Point Men". After Frank's powerful retreat experience, he wanted to pay it forward and ensure other veterans could experience this healing work. Frank became a mentor for TWC retreats, helping guide others, and later the secretary and treasurer for the initial TWC board of directors. Frank is currently serving as a board advisor and retreat facilitator.
Frank is a Vietnam veteran who served with the 9th Infantry Division and 5th Special Forces. Trhoughout his career, additional posts included assigments to the Defense Intelligence Agency in the American Embassy Cambodia and the Philippines, a tour as a Drill Sergeant, and an advisor to groups in the Philippines and Thailand.
Frank is one of the few non-commissioned officers selected to attend the US Army’s prestigious Organizational Effectiveness Center and School at Fort Ord, CA, where he was trained in system sciences, management sciences, and behavioral sciences. After graduating, he was an internal organizational development consultant at Fort Devens until his retirement. Frank holds an undergraduate degree in Organizational Behavior from Lesley College.
Frank retired from active duty in 1986. Frank's personal awards and decorations include the bronze star, meritorious service medal, joint services commendation medal, and Army commendation medal.
Frank resides in the rolling Green Mountains of Vernon, Vermont where he enjoys fly fishing, cooking, and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
